(NORTH MIDDLESEX, ON) – A male driver is facing a 90 day licence suspension and seven day vehicle impoundment for being involved in a collision while over the legal limit.
On August 9, 2014 at approximately 6:45 p.m. Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle collision in the area of McGillivray Drive and Lieury Road in the Municipality of North Middlesex.
During their investigation, police discovered one of the involved drivers had been drinking. A roadside breath test was administered and the driver registered a fail. The driver was transported to a local hospital by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries and further breath tests were administered.
As a result of the investigation, police charged Jeremy SLATER, age 35 of North Middlesex with care or control over 80 milligrams, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in a London courtroom September 25, 2014 to speak to the charge.
