(HUNTSVILLE, ON) On Monday August 18, 2014 around 11:00pm Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was notified of a vehicle that had just been taken from a residence on West Road in Huntsville, Ontario.
The owner of a 2013 Honda Civic heard noises coming from the outside of his house, when he opened to door to his garage he noticed his car was missing. Huntsville OPP was then advised of a motor vehicle collision on the Ravenscliffe Road onramp to Highway #11. The driver was seen running from the vehicle.
Patrols were made in the area of the crash and a male party was located a short distance later matching the description of the suspect. With the assistance of canine and Emergency Response Team (ERT) the suspect was arrested and transported to Huntsville detachment.
As a result of the investigation Matthew Flynn (29yrs) of Huntsville has been charged with break and enter into a dwelling house x2, theft under $5000.00, and theft over $5000.00 under the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on September 17, 2014 to answer to his charges.
