(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) -On August 26, 2014 at approximately 2:28 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting speed enforcement and monitoring traffic on Trafalger Road near Queen Street in Hillsburgh, Town of Erin. At this time and location officers observed a southbound motor vehicle travelling well above the posted 40 km/h speed limit. Police clocked the 2007 International tractor trailer on radar at 104 km/h in a 40 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Paramjit Singh GHUMAN age 53 of Mississauga has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Court on October 15, 2014 to answer to the charge.
