RACING CHARGE
(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) -On August 30, 2014 at approximately 1:20 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) officer was monitoring northbound traffic on Highway 6 and Laird Road, Guelph. A male driving a 2014 Audi was observed travelling at a high rate of speed and locked on radar at 160 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Sheng NONG age 23 of North York, is charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Court on October 15, 2014 to answer to the charge.
