(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On September 2, 2014 at approximately 6:00 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called about a vehicle in the ditch on Side Road 27, Town of Erin. Police spoke with witnesses at the scene along with the female driver and believed that she had consumed alcohol. A Roadside Screening Device test was administered which resulted in a fail. An arrest was made and she was transported to a local Operations Centre for testing.
The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and her motor vehicle impounded for seven days.
Catherine MACLENNAN age 54 from the Town of Erin has been charged with Care or Control Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 26, 2014 to answer to the charge.
