(POINT EDWARD, ON) Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is on scene this morning, September 11, 2014 to investigate a commercial break and enter at the 700 block of Mara Street. This investigation is in its very early stages, however, Lambton OPP is also currently involved with a prior break and enter investigation to the same property, and that investigation began on September 09, 2014.
The original Lambton OPP investigation, which also involved the OPP West Region Forensic Identification Unit, showed that a suspect or suspects pried open a north side door to gain entry during the early morning hours of September 09, 2014. Once inside the main building the suspects then further accessed several inner officers.
Lambton OPP is estimating a loss of about $7000.00 with computers being figured into the total dollar amount of the first break and enter. The OPP investigation is continuing into both incidents and the public is encouraged to contact Lambton OPP at 519-882-1011 if anyone has information that may assist in this investigation.
