OPP CHARGE MAN FOR RACING

(Westport,ON) On the 9th of September 2014, Ontario Provincial Police in Leeds County stopped a man for driving in excess of 50 km per hour while operating a motor cycle on County Rd 42 outside the village of Westport.

An O.P.P. officer observed a Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on County Rd 42 exiting the village of Westport travelling at a high rate of speed.

A 40-year-old Quinte West man has been issued a Summons to attend court for the charge of Racing a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

The man’s motorcycle was towed and he was also issued a 7 day licence suspension.
