(SUDBURY) – Members of the Sudbury Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a two vehicle collision at the junction of Highway 17 and Regional Road 55 in the town of Walden.
Preliminary investigation reveals that a vehicle westbound on Regional road 55 attempted to enter Highway 17 when it collided with an eastbound OPP cruiser.
As a result of the collision, both drivers were transported to hospital with non-life threatening, including a 27 year member of the OPP presently stationed at the Sudbury Detachment.
Highway 17 remains closed eastbound, east of Regional Road 55 as OPP members including Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) continue their investigation.
