(DRYDEN, ON) On August 28, 2013 the Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a motor vehicle collision, a convertible versus a Tractor Trailer Unit(TTU). The driver of the convertible attempted an unsafe pass and struck the side the TTU causing the vehicle to hit the guide rails. The occupants the convertible were not injured. Christopher BLUETT (19 years old) of Peterborough has been charged with Pass not in safety contrary to section 149(1)(a) of the Highway Traffic Act and operate motor vehicle with no insurance contrary to section 2(1) of the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act. BLUETT is scheduled to appear in court on October 8, 2013 in Dryden to answer to the charges.
