(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON.) – Members of the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a serious injury single all-terrain vehicle collision. The incident occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. on September 28 2013 on a bush road north of the Goldthorpe Road near Winnie Lake in Maisonville Township.
The driver was negotiating a bend when the vehicle a 2013 Polaris ran off the road and came into collision with a large rock. The driver and lone rider on the vehicle was ejected and suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. The victim a 20 year-old male was transported from the scene by air ambulance to a Sudbury area hospital.
Also responding to this collision were the Kirkland Lake Fire Department and Kirkland Lake Ambulance Services. The investigation into the cause of the collision continues.
