(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On Monday October 14, 2013 at approximately 3:16pm Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a loose bull on County Road 124 just north of the Fourth Line of Erin. Further information was received that the bull had entered onto a farm property near that location and was no longer on the road.
Police attended the farm and spoke with the property owners who advised that they had seen the bull enter onto their property and lay down on the driveway. When they attempted to coral the animal it became somewhat aggressive and was currently off in one of the horse pastures.
Large Animal Control was contacted in an attempt to locate the bull owner. The bull owner was located and attended the farm. The bull was tranquilized, corralled and loaded into a trailer. Two other bulls were also located and removed from a nearby property.
Investigation revealed that the bulls had escaped from a fenced in enclosure on Sunday October 13, 2013.
