(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is currently investigating a theft after police were contacted by a concerned citizen at a Queensway East, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Monday, October 28, 2013 at approximately 12:00 a.m., a male attended Tim Horton’s and subsequently removed a poppy donation box from the counter. The male then attended the washroom and then subsequently exited into the parking lot. The poppy box was located in the washroom along with the poppy’s however all the funds that were donated were taken.
The suspect is being described as a male, white, 30 to 40 years of age, 5’7, medium build, wearing a camouflage coloured hat, blue jogging pants, dark blue sweater and white running shoes.
The police are seeking the public’s assistance with this investigation. If anyone has any information regarding this incident or if they can identify the suspect, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
