(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On November 13, 2014 at approximately 9:15 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) investigated the driver of a 2003 Honda that entered into a R.I.D.E. spot check on Gore Road near Shellard Road in Puslinch Township.
Police detected the strong odour of burnt marihuana in the interior of the motor vehicle as they were speaking with the driver. When questioned about the drugs, the female driver surrendered a substantial quantity of marihuana to the officer.
Elizabeth MEEMS age 31 of Cambridge has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Over 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on December 19, 2014 to answer to the charge.
