Grenville SNAKE: Drunk Driving

(CHIPPEWAS OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – On December 4, 2014 at approximately 9:52 p.m. members of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Police Service were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program at the intersection of Three Fires Road and Maitland Drive. Police observed an erratic driver approach the checkpoint. When police interacted with the driver, it was discovered the driver had been drinking and was impaired.

The driver was arrested and brought to a police detachment for further tests. As a result of the investigation, Grenville SNAKE, age 71 of Munsee-Delaware Nation was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 under the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was later released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in a London courtroom January 15, 2015 to speak to the charges.
