(Essa Township, ON)- On Saturday the 27th of December 2014 at 11:10 p.m., two officers from the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a business check at the intersection of County Road 10 and County Road 21 in the Township of Essa, when they observed a suspicious vehicle parked at the closed business.
Upon further investigation, the male driver was arrested for possession of 30 grams of cannabis marihuana and 1 gram of cocaine. The driver was also found to be impaired by drugs, and was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
The driver, 18-year old Niclaus FUCHS of Essa Township was charged with:
Impaired (drugs) Operation of a motor vehicle
Fail to Comply with Undertaking
Possession of schedule I controlled substance (cocaine)
Possession of schedule II controlled substance (cannabis marihuana)
The accused was held in custody pending his bail hearing on the 29th of December 2014.
