(TAY TOWNSHIP, On)- Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded at 11:00pm on Dec 26, 2014 to a report of suspicious activity at a summer cottage on Robins Point Road in Tay Township. Attending officers located and arrested a male and female inside the vacant cottage and transported them to Southern Georgian Bay Detachment for further investigation.
The investigation has resulted in Mathew PHILPOTT age 25 years of Tay Township being charged with:
– Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence contrary to section 348(1) (b) of the Criminal Code of Canada
– Theft Under $5000 contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession Break In Instruments contrary to section 351(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada
Also charged is Haley WRIGHT-JUNEAU age 18 years of Tay Township with:
– 348(1) (b) Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence contrary to section 348(1) (b) of the Criminal Code of Canada
– 322(1) Theft contrary to section 322(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
Both will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland at a future date.
