ATV COLLISION

(Tweed, ON) – On April 11, 2015 at 5:45 p.m. members of Central Hastings O.P.P responded to an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) collision, approximately 6 kilometres east of Rockies Road on a logging trail. The 59 year old male driver from Campbellford, ON was ejected off of his 4-wheeler, fell into a river and pulled down stream by the current. A fellow rider was able to pull him to shore.

Initially EMS, Fire and Air Ambulance attended the area due to the remote location of the driver. He was assisted to a nearby hunt camp and then transported to hospital by EMS with serious injuries.

DRIVER USING CELL PHONE ALSO RECEIVES LICENCE SUSPENSION

(Hwy# 37 Belleville, ON) – On April 11, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. members of Central Hastings O.P.P observed a vehicle weaving on Highway # 37 near Blessington Road in the City of Belleville. Upon conducting a vehicle stop officers discovered the driver had been texting on her cell phone and she had been consuming alcohol. After registering a warn on the roadside screening device, the 53 year old female driver of Corbyville, ON had her drivers licence suspended and her vehicle impounded both for a period of three days. She was also charged with Drive Motor Vehicle on a Highway While Using Handheld Communication Device contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

PICK UP TRUCK WINDOWS DAMAGED

(Tweed, ON) – On April 12, 2015 at 8:45 a.m. members of Central Hastings O.P.P received a mischief complaint on Napanee Road in Marlbank, Municipality of Tweed. Sometime over the last week unknown person(s) smashed the windshield and driver’s side window of a pickup truck that was parked on a property next to the cemetery.

RESIDENTIAL BREAK AND ENTER

(Centre Hastings,ON) – Sometime between March 21, 2015 and April 11, 2015 a residence and workshop on Highway# 62 near Ray Road, Municipality of Centre Hastings was broken into. A 2001 red Kodiak 4-wheeler ATV, three “Nascar” jackets and a large quantity of DVD’s were stolen.
