(HALIBURTON, ON) – On July 24, 2015 an officer from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Dewey Street in Highlands East Township for a Highway Traffic Act Violation (HTA).
While speaking with the male driver signs of alcohol consumption were detected which resulted in a breath demand being requested.
Dawson MACDUFF age 52 from Highlands East Township has been charged with the following offences contrary to the HTA:
· Driving while under suspension
· Fail to Signal for turn
· Adult Novice Driver-B.A.C above zero
The accused is scheduled to appear in Provincial Offences Court in Minden, Ontario on September 15, 2015.
