Jeffrey Michael BART – Drunk Driving

(POINT EDWARD, ON) – On Saturday September 13th, 2015, at approximately 3:05 p.m., Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act violation on Lite Street, Village of Point Edward which led to the driver being arrested for a drinking and driving offence.

OPP conducted a traffic stop on Lite Street, Village of Point Edward for a Highway Traffic Act violation. During the traffic stop, the officer suspected that the male driver had been consuming alcoholic beverages prior to operating the motor vehicle. The Officer made a “road side” breath demand of the male driver, which resulted in a “Fail.” The male driver was then arrested and transported to the Lambton OPP- Corunna Detachment for further breath testing which resulted in readings over twice the legal limit.

The accused will appear in the Sarnia Ontario Court of Justice on Monday October 5th, 2015.
