Man Airlifted To Toronto Area Hospital

(TAY TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Tay Fire and Simcoe County Paramedics responded to single motor vehicle collision on September 26, 2015 at 2:41 a.m.

A Dodge Pick-up was eastbound on Highway 12 just east of Rumney Road when for unknown reasons it exited the roadway. The motor vehicle rolled several times before landing on its roof. The 20 year old driver resides in the area. Due to the serious nature of the injuries he was transported to a Toronto area hospital by Ornge Air Ambulance.

OPP officers from the Central Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation. Highway 12 between Rumney Road and Reeves Road was closed for several hours but has since been re-opened.
