Douglas RING – Drunk Driving, Breach, Drive While Disqualified

(COLLINGWOOD, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a male driver with impaired driving offences in recent days in Collingwood.

On the 30th of October 2015 at approximately 3:00pm officers received reports of a possible impaired driver in the area of Balsam Street in Collingwood. Officers located and stopped the vehicle where interactions with the driver confirmed that he was under the influence of alcohol. This led to his arrest and transport to Collingwood detachment for processing.

Charged is 39 year-old Douglas RING of Collingwood, he is facing charges of driving a motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol, driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood, driving while disqualified and fail to comply with probation order. He is to appear in Collingwood court on the 17th of November 2015.
