(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment has charged a 22-year-old male after police were called to investigate an incident at a Norfolk Street South, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Friday, October 30, 2015 at approximately 6:58 p.m., police responded to Al’s Shoe Factory Outlet after being contacted by employees.
Through the course of investigation it has been determined that a male entered the store and attempted to remove merchandise without paying. The male was confronted by an employee at which time a verbal altercation took place which then turned into a physical confrontation.
As a result of investigation, police arrested and charged 22-year-old Eric Edmund STYLES of Norfolk County, Ontario with assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and theft under $5000.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
