(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating several break-ins to various businesses throughout the Municipality of Meaford. The break-ins occurred between December 6th and December 12th, 2015.
– KJ’s Kitchen Trailer located on Sykes Street North was forcibly entered overnight on December 6th. A cashbox containing $300; $64 in “Turkey Bucks”; prescription medication and some alcohol was stolen.
– A storage container located at Alex’s Gas Bar on Sykes Street South was forcibly entered sometime between December 6th and December 8th. It does not appear that anything was taken from it.
– Two boats stored in dry dock at Richardson Boats located on Bayfield Street were entered and the interiors ransacked sometime overnight on December 8th. It is unknown if anything was taken at this time.
– Two storage trailers located behind Meaford Bowl on Thompson Street were forcibly entered sometime overnight on December 10th. It is unknown if anything was taken at this time.
– Four storage units at the Meaford Mini Storage located on Susan Street were forcibly entered overnight on December 12th. It is unknown if anything was stolen at this time.
– Grandma Lambe’s Fruit Market located on Hwy. 26 was forcibly entered overnight on December 12th. Change, two donation jars and an assortment of baked goods were stolen. Some of the baked goods were found tossed around inside and out of the building.
