(CLEARVIEW TWP, ON.) – In September, 2015 Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police along with the Canadian Drug Action Team (CDAT) conducted a search of a property in Clearview Township regarding a large outdoor marijuana grow operation.
As a result of the search, over 1000 large marijuana plants were seized for destruction. The street value of the marijuana plants is in excess of 1 million dollars.
5 Men are now facing charges in connection with the investigation. 30 year old Liange CHEN of No Fixed Address, 54 year old Zhangjian FAN of Clearview Twp., 28 year old Zhehgmin FAN of Clearview Twp., 28 year old Jian LING of No Fixed Address and 28 year old Xin ZUO of No Fixed Address have each been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:
• Produce a Schedule 2 (cannabis marijuana) – 1 count
• Possession of a Schedule 2 substance over 30 grams – 1 count
• Possession of a Schedule 2 substance for the purpose of trafficking over 3 kilograms – 1 count
All 5 men have been release on bail and are scheduled to attend Collingwood court on February 1st, 2016.
