(Douro-Dummer Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate after the body of a deceased female was located on a trail near Twelfth Line Road yesterday shortly before 4:00pm.
This sudden death is currently under investigation by the Peterborough County OPP Crime Unit under the direction of the Office of the Chief Coroner.
A post mortem examination was been scheduled on August 16, 2015 at the Office of the Chief Coroner and Forensic Pathology Service in Toronto, Ontario.
UPDATE
The body of a deceased female discovered on an ATV trail in Douro-Dummer Township has been identified through dental records as a missing Northumberland senior.
Theresa MACRAE (age 88) of Brighton, Ontario suffered from occasional memory loss and other health issues and was last seen near Presqui’le Provincial Park on August 09, 2016.
Foul play is not suspected in this death investigation.
