(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in a Scarborough man having his licence and vehicle seized.
On January 25, 2015 an OPP officer observed a vehicle travelling at 158km/h in a 100km/h zone on Highway 115, within the City of Kawartha Lakes. The vehicle was subsequently stopped and the driver was charged with racing a motor vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
Zachary PETKOV, 21 years of age, of Scarborough, had his class G2 licence seized and he will appear in court, in Lindsay. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
