Zachary McIVOR – 7X Theft, Break and Enter, Breach

(Asphodel Norwood Township, ON) – The Peterborough County OPP report that in the first week of September 2013 a series of property crimes were committed In the Village of Norwood.

Initially the balances of the crimes were not reported and the others were discovered though an investigation conducted by the OPP Property Crime Unit.

On the evenings of September 2 and 3 a male suspect entered three different motor vehicles on private drives on County road 40, and stole cash and credit cards from the vehicles. The suspect then attempted to make cash withdraws from an ATM using the stolen credit cards.

On the evenings of September 4 the same suspect entered a vehicle parked on Queen Street and stole a women’s wallet containing cash and credit cards, the suspect then attempted to use the stolen credit cards at a local store.

On September 5 the suspect broke into a residence on Alma Street and stole a 52” Television.

As a result of the investigation 29 year old Zachary McIVOR of no fixed address has been arrested and charged with 7 counts of Theft Under $5000, Trespass at Night, Break Enter and Theft, Fail to Comply with Probation.

OPP are reminding people that many of the crimes were not reported by the victims and that it is important to report any crime that has occurred no matter how minor it may seem to you at the time.
