(Tweed, ON) – On December 6, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. Central Hastings O.P.P responded to an assault complaint on Hunt Road in the Municipality of Tweed. The investigation revealed that during an argument a male teenager kicked and punched his mother and that similar incidents had occurred in the past. When the victim called police for assistance, the male fled his residence on foot. The OPP Canine Unit also responded and the male was located hiding in a bush area near his home. The 17 year old male of Tweed, ON was subsequently arrested for two counts of Assault. A few hours later the accused violated conditions of his release by returning to his residence and communicating with the victim. Soon after he was arrested again and charged with Fail to Comply with Undertaking. He appeared in Belleville Youth Court today.
