YOUTH ARRESTED

(CALEDON, ON) – On April 7, 2014 shortly before 4 pm, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to attend a Highway 10 youth educational facility to investigate a complaint of threats.

Investigation revealed that a young person, who is a resident of the facility, had threatened to assault staff members. Officers also learned that the youth was bound by a Probation Order and an Undertaking Order with the same condition, to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour.

As a result of the investigation, the Young Person was arrested and charged with Uttering Threats, Breach of Undertaking and Breach of Probation.

The Young Person was held overnight and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville the following day.

His name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
