(Bancroft, Ontario) – At approximately 2:05 a.m. on Sunday the 24th of August 2014, officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a break and enter on Gemini Street in the Municipality of Hastings Highlands. Investigation into the incident revealed that and male had entered a residence, and then left on foot.
Officers located the male suspect and arrested him. A 17 year old young person of Faraday Township has been charged with break and enter. He was released from custody on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in Young Persons Court at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario on the 19th of September 2014.
The identity of the young person cannot be released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
