(BRANT TWP, ON) – On January 18, 2014 at 8:21 pm, a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol along Bruce County Road 4 in Brant Township noticed a Silver Hyundai Elantra and a Blue Toyota 4Runner that appeared to be competing for position on the road. The officer further noticed that both vehicles were travelling at a high rate of speed; 108 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. The vehicles were stopped and both drivers received traffic tickets. A 17 year old from Brockton and a 17 year old from Hanover were charged for speeding and cautioned for their unsafe driving.
