(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On Thursday, November 14, 2013, just before 9:00 p.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a complaint of a Honda vehicle driving erratically on Highway 401 westbound, near Bloomfield Road.
Officers located the vehicle which was pulled over to the right shoulder of the highway just west of Bloomfield Road. Upon approaching the vehicle, a female was observed slumped over the steering wheel. Officers spoke with the driver and determined that she had been consuming alcoholic beverages.
Subsequent tests indicated that the driver, 35 year old Yi-Fen CHAO from Toronto, was over the legal limit. She will appear in a Chatham Court on Friday, December 6, 2013, to answer to the charges of Care or Control While Impaired and Care or Control Over 80 mgs.
