Yesterday morning, police received information regarding a vehicle that had illegally passed a school bus on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.
Officers were given a physical description of the vehicle and licence plate. Around 8:30 a.m. officers located the vehicle and a 31-year-old Blenheim woman was charged with failing to stop for a school bus.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to remind all drivers that whether on a city street, highway or county road, motorists travelling in both directions must stop when approaching a stopped school bus with its upper red lights flashing.
