The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman in connection with a domestic related incident yesterday.
Around 2:30 p.m. the woman drove to a man’s residence in Blenheim where a verbal argument began. The woman left the residence with the man’s cell phone and house keys. Instead of driving away, the woman sat outside the man’s house in her vehicle for hours.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m. officers attended the area and observed the woman still sitting in her vehicle outside the man’s residence. The woman admitted that she had the man’s property in her possession.
Around 9:00 p.m. the 49-year-old Shrewsbury woman was arrested and charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000 and criminal harassment. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
