The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman in connection with an assault earlier this summer.
On July 19, 2013 the woman approached the victim outside a convenience store on Grand Avenue West in Chatham. A verbal argument ensued which escalated into a physical altercation as the woman punched the victim and pulled her hair. The woman fled the scene prior to police arrival. The 23-year-old victim did not require medical attention.
Attempts were made to locate the woman, however when unsuccessful, a warrant was issued for her arrest. Just before 11:00 a.m. yesterday morning, the 20-year-old Chatham woman was arrested on the outstanding warrant for one count of assault. She was released pending a future court date.
