Woman Charged After 71 Year Old Attacked By Dog

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment has charged a 38-year-old female after police investigated an incident at a Middleton, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at approximately 11:22 a.m., police were contacted by a concerned citizen reporting that they had been bitten by a dog.

Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a 71-year-old female of Bayham, Ontario was walking down the street with another female when they were both knocked to the ground by two (2) dogs that ran from a property. While on the ground, the female was bitten and received minor injuries .

As a result of investigation, police have charged 38-year-old Mandy LETOILE of Norfolk County, Ontario with permit dog to be at large contrary to the Norfolk County By-law.

She was subsequently issued a Provincial Offence Notice.
