(LOUNT TWP) On Tuesday August 13, 2013 at approximately 8:30pm police received a 9-1-1 call from a female on Eagle Lake Road, Lount Township. The female stated she only phoned 9-1-1 to see if the system was working. This was not the first time she had done this. Police attended the caller’s residence and charged her with public mischief and explained that 9-1-1 was only for emergencies.
As police were leaving the female assaulted one of the officers, but did not injure him. Police then attempted to arrest the female however she was uncooperative and struggled with police.
Police charged and released Elaine St. Denis (50) of Lount Township with assault police and assault with intent to resist arrest contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused is to appear in Sundridge Court on October 29, 2013
