On June 17, 2015 a Kitchener resident was approached by a male and female who were selling gold jewelry out of their vehicle in the downtown Kitchener area. The victim paid a substantial amount of money for what she believed was real gold jewelry. Unfortunately when the victim got the jewelry appraised at a jewelry store she was informed the jewelry was worthless and didn’t contain any gold. The suspects were described as follows: male and female in their 40’s with a thick European accent driving a dark grey SUV. Police remind anyone to be cautious about making purchases from unknown persons and to report situations they believe to be suspicious.
