Woman Arrested After Assaulting Male Holding One Year Old

(MISSISSAUGA FIRST NATION)- On February 21, 2016 at 7:35 p.m., members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised of a domestic dispute in progress at a residence on Village Road, Mississauga First Nation.

A verbal argument ensued between the couple. The female became aggressive and assaulted the male who was holding his 1 year old daughter throughout the incident.

As a result of the investigation, the 24 year old female from Mississauga First Nation was charged with: Assault, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on May 5, 2016.
