It seems after council gave themselves raises there is no money left to clear any more sidewalks in Wingham. A few of you may have noticed that the Public Works Department has finally agreed to clear a couple more sections of sidewalk in Wingham’s Upper East Side near our schools, a far cry from clearing all sidewalks in Community Safety Zones.
Public Works still refuses to clear all sidewalks in Wingham, especially those going North/South. Some feel that everyone is entitled to fair and equal service since we all pay the same tax rate, council and Public Works disagree.
