(NORTH HURON, ON) – A male driver from Wingham has been charged with Racing following a traffic stop that took place on June 24, 2017. Around 9:18 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a Chevrolet Camaro traveling westbound on Howick-Turnberry Road at a high rate of speed. The officer confirmed his visual observations of the approaching vehicle with a RADAR device and confirmed the speed of the racing vehicle at a speed in excess of 60 km/h over the posted 80 km/h speed limit. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was subsequently charged.
