In a Goderich courtroom 28Nov2017 Martin Cretier, a former Wingham scout leader and Wingham Hospital nurse, was found guilty on 16 charges of sexual misconduct involving children.
Not only was this pedophile allowed to roam free for decades under the noses of the disgraced Wingham police service, he is still free and out on bail until next year some time.
Due to the number of victims, it seems unfathomable that in the last 40 years not a single person reported this predator to the Wingham police. The Wingham police are well known for their “what do you want me to do about it” attitude, and their constant threats of “it’s our/their word against yours”. If anyone did report this man to the Wingham police, and the Wingham police refused to act, then they are just as guilty as the predator they allowed to roam free for decades under their noses.
The Wingham police seem to avoid the Wingham Hospital for some reason. Many of you may remember when a Wingham officer refused someone a ride to the hospital, or more recently them taking two days to show up for a break and enter. Maybe they were just too busy doing all those foot patrols on Josephine Street like they claim.
