Windows Smashed Out Of Vehicles In Goderich

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are seeking information from the public in relation to four separate mischiefs that occurred in Goderich over the weekend.

The owner of a Pontiac Montana minivan reported her van was parked in her driveway on Eldon Street and the rear window was smashed sometime between 9:00 p.m. on March 21, 2015 and 3:00 p.m. on March 22, 2015. Police suspect a blunt object was used to damage the rear window. A short distance away on South Street the owner of a Hyundai Accent noticed the rear passenger side window of her vehicle was smashed out. Her vehicle had been parked on the street while she was at work. The damage was discovered around 10:00 p.m. on March 21, 2015.

Also on South Street another resident had her Hyundai Accent parked in her laneway overnight only to discover the next morning on March 21, 2015 the back windshield of her car had been smashed. Lastly, not far away on Mary Street a resident reported hearing some suspicious noises outside around 10:45 p.m. He later went out to check on the Dodge sedan parked in his laneway only to find both tires on the driver’s side of the vehicle to have been slashed with a sharp instrument.
