(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – On September 5, 2015, at approximately 3:04 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were alerted to a motor vehicle which was stationary in the middle of the road on Concession Drive, near Dogwood Road.
Officers located the vehicle, a red Dodge van, and determined that the male driver had been drinking alcohol. He was placed under arrest, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath testing, which revealed he had consumed more than three times the legal limit of alcohol.
As a result of the police investigation, 54-year-old William PATTERSON, from Dawn-Euphemia Township, has been charged with care or control while impaired (alcohol), and care or control over 80 mgs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on October 15, 2015.
