On Wednesday March 30, 2016 at approx. 1:15 p.m., a tractor trailer was eastbound on Cedar Creek road, in North Dumfries Township, when a tire came loose and struck a vehicle travelling westbound. The motor vehicle sustained extensive damage. The driver and passenger were transported to Cambridge Memorial Hospital by ambulance and treated for minor injuries. The driver of the tractor trailer, a 51 year old male from the USA, was charged with several Highway Traffic Act offences.
