On Tuesday 8 November 2016 in the early morning hours police were advised by Wellington County OPP had arrested a male person that was wanted by West Grey Police Service, for charges of assault and utter death threats. The male was held for a bail hearing and was transported to Walkerton court.

On Thursday 10 November 2016 an unknown person(s) attended an address in the Former Town of Durham within the Municipality of West Grey. The unknown person(s) gained access into the residence through an unlocked door, the unknown person(s) stole a Savage 308 long rifle. Nothing else was stolen from the residence. This rifle was not stored in compliance with the regulation, subsequently the owner was charged with Careless storage of a firearm. Anyone who may have information pertaining to this crime can contact the West Grey Police Service or Crime Stoppers.

Occurrence Type: Domestic Assault

On Sunday 13 November 2016 in the afternoon police were advised to attend a domestic assault that occurred in the Town of Durham within the Municipality of West Grey. The investigation determined that the victim suffered minor injuries, the accused was charged with assault, released on a Promise to Appear with a court date in the near future.
