(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Saturday, October 17, 2015, at approximately 10:54 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a 2007 Chevrolet BLS vehicle on Grey Rd. 17 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs for a traffic violation. Police found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. After failing a road side breath test, the driver was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for further breath tests, which he refused to take.
Wesley Edward KEESHIG, age 31, of Neyaashiingmiing First Nation, was charged with Fail/Refuse to Provide Breath Sample under the Criminal Code. His vehicle was impounded and his driver’s licence was suspended. He is scheduled to appear in Court in Owen Sound on November 5, 2015.
Further investigation revealed that a passenger in his vehicle was wanted by the Toronto Police Service. Grey County OPP arrested the 26 year old Neyaashiingmiing First Nation male on the outstanding warrant and turned him over to the Toronto Police Service.
