(CALEDON, ON) – On Saturday, April 23, 2016 an officer from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting traffic enforcement on Highway 10 when he was approached by a concerned citizen who wanted to report an erratic driver.
As a result of the information provided, the officer located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop with the white Ford Escape. While speaking to the driver, the officer concluded that the male had been under the influence of alcohol and demanded he provide a sample of his breath into an Approved Screening Device (ASD). The driver performed the roadside breath test and registered a fail.
Subsequently, Stefan WERESZCZYNSKY, 58, of Nepean was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood.
The 90-day Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
The accused was released and is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on May 5, 2016.
