Weekend Update – Orillia OPP

(ORILLIA, ON.) – Over the weekend, the Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received 98 calls for service. Police responded to calls received from Severn Township, Ramara Township, and the City of Orillia. The time frame is from Friday night at 6:00 p.m. until Monday morning at 6:00 a.m.

There were various calls for service consisting of noise complaints, alarms, 911 hang-ups, domestic/family disputes, Liquor Licence Act complaints, mischief complaints, motor vehicle collisions, assaults and impaired drivers.

On January 24, 2016 at approximately 12:35 a.m., the Orillia OPP stopped a vehicle on Neywash Street in the City of Orillia for failing to stop at a stop sign. The male driver was arrested at the scene.

Joseph MCMANAMY, 56 years old of Minden Hills Township, has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Over 80 mgs Blood/Alcohol. He was released on a Promise to Appear in Orillia court on February 9, 2016.
