(ORILLIA, ON.) – Over the holiday weekend, the Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received 148 calls for service. Police responded to calls received from Severn Township, Ramara Township, and the City of Orillia. The time frame is from Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. until Monday morning at 6:00 a.m.
There were various calls for service consisting of noise complaints, alarms, 911 hang-ups, domestic/family disputes, Liquor Licence Act complaints, mischief complaints, motor vehicle collisions and impaired drivers.
On January 1, 2016 at approximately 5:00 a.m., the Orillia OPP was dispatched to a possible impaired driver at a Memorial Avenue restaurant in the City of Orillia. Officers attended the location and arrested the male driver.
Chris HOLMES, 37 years old of Orillia, has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Over 80 mgs Blood/Alcohol. He was released on a Promise to Appear in Orillia court on January 19, 2016.
On January 1, 2016 at approximately 8:22 p.m., the Orillia OPP was dispatched to a possible impaired driver on Laclie Street in the City of Orillia. Officers located the vehicle in a ditch on Laclie Street and the female driver was arrested.
Robin FULLER, 55 years old of Brock Township, has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Over 80 mgs Blood/Alcohol. She was released on a Promise to Appear in Orillia court on January 19, 2016.
On January 3, 2016 at approximately 7:38 p.m., the Orillia OPP was dispatched to a possible impaired driver on Second Street in the City of Orillia. Officers attended the location and arrested the male driver.
Aaron BROWN, 36 years old of Orillia, has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Over 80 mgs Blood/Alcohol. He was released on a Promise to Appear in Orillia court on January 19, 2016.
